Bolsa Vietnamese Restaurant

Everything was okay. Was disappointed in the amount, type and quality of veggies they serve with the Bun Rieu. Mostly lettuce and cabbage with no rau moung.

I adore this restaurant! They offer high class food, they have a nice menu, The chief cook in that restaurant is very trained, I like a lot trying all their food. The food is consistently good, the service towards the visitors is agreeable. I go often to this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it to all.

Wow was the food disappointing. This is nothing like a 4.6 restaurant. So many better Vietnamese restaurants. Shocked. If you live in No County to to PhoEver. But don't go here.

Bolsa has been a staple in my family for over 25 years and it is the only Vietnamese restaurant we go to anywhere. The soups are all great, the appetizers like egg rolls and spring rolls are excellent and their main courses from sandwiches to pork chops to stir fry noodles are all well prepared. The service is absolutely spectacular and whether you are regulars or not, they treat you like family. I offer the highest recommendation of this restaurant.

Neighborhood, family-owned, gem. The place is super-clean, the food is excellent and priced very modestly. The staff are cheerful and helpful, whether you're Vietnamese or not.

Amazing food. There's so much more to offer than pho here. I tried the egg crepe, chicken curry with thin noodle, and some wide noodle with ham roll. I'll be coming back again to try the chicken pho. Definitely better than pho cow Cali to me.

What it seemed to be a family owned business ran by women from the cooks in the kitchen to the servers up front. There was also a gentleman, could be the owner, who helped to serve the food and greeted the customers.The place is clean. The porcelain plates and utensils look brand new and spotless.We ordered the spring rolls, shrimp fried rice and steak dice. We very much enjoyed the food. There was a good amount of flavorful shrimp in the rice. The steak was marinated well and the meat was remarkably tender and juicy. The spring rolls were neatly wrapped and everything in it was fresh and crunchy, although, the sauce could use a little more flavor.We loved the music in the background, which made us feel relaxed. We also had a good conversation with one of the servers.Overall we had a great experience and came out full. We'll certainly come back again next time.

Decent Vietnamese cuisine food compared to others in SD (such as Phuong Trang and Saigon). Was disappointed in the portion, everything was on the smaller size. Got the egg rolls, Hu Tieu and broken rice dish. Added an extra item on the broken rice and it was $3ish for a tiny piece of shrimp wrap. Everything on the rice dish was small. The Hu Tieu was good, the pork in it was dry though and they use a little msg. Not too bad. Their fish dipping sauce was too salty. Needed more lime and garlic. Decent food.

Hands down best vegetarian banh mi I've had. The combination of shredded tofu, fried taro and rice noodles somehow conveys a meaty texture and soaks up so much of the wonderful authentic flavor. The only thing preventing a fifth star is that the juiciness was mostly contained in the middle of the sandwich, leaving sparser, drier ends.

This place not only has great Pho. But the people who own it are absolutely nice. While eating dinner with my family a homeless man parked his belongings outside and sat there. They saw and gave him drink and a plate of food. Instead of running him off they helped him. They are all so nice. I definitely recommend this place the food is great.

Not a bad little noodle joint! The limited seating basically means any table is potentially a communal table. But the food is well-priced, exceptionally flavorful, and no-hold-barred spicy. That's my JAM!

The beef broth is pretty good, unfortunately no tendon which is usually a staple in my pho. Great customer service

Best Pho in San Diego so far. Called in an order for pickup with no difficulty, was ready fast. We've tried a lot of Pho is Mira Mesa and this was the tastiest and best priced. Big servings, fast service, good customer service.

Outstanding! The best Vietnamese food that we have ever had. Stir fried rice noodles are our go-to dish. Hubby gets pork, daughter gets chicken, and I get it with shrimp. Egg rolls, spring rolls, and Pho are also delicious, as well as the vermicelli noodles. Ingredients are always fresh, and portions generous. Please be aware that you should go up to the cash register when you are ready to go, or specifically ask for your check. I think that it's considered impolite to bring the check without you asking - like they are trying to hurry you out. We were fortunate to discover Bolsa the first year they opened, over 20 years ago. It became and remained one of our favorites!

Sooo good! Everything we tried was excellent. Family friendly, food fresh owner very friendly and nice. Will definitely be back.

We only had the pho and that was good. We did see one of the female workers talking on the phone and going to town on her nose, but thankfully she was not working at the time and not or waitress. The staff seemed very helpful, but also forgetful as we asked for a check a couple times and saw or waitress doing silverware soon after as we never asked. Or waitress and possibly the manager/owner was nice but was the one who forgot.

Delicious foods, you should have for lunch and dinner. Especially, phở (Vietnamese noodles soup) you should check it out.

Service was great and fast. Food tasted ok But wasn’t very flavorful. In a location where there is lots of Vietnamese places to choose from, we will go to one that provides more flavorful food.

The bread is fresh and warm. It was the perfect sandwich. Also, the piano player was a nice touch!

Service was good and fast. Family run and quiet. Got the Beef Pho and it was flavorful and the meat was tender and good quality. I will come back again!

They treat you like family, food is good, prices are fair

I like trying different Vietnamese places for their banh mi and this place might've overtaken Son Tra in Escondido. The beef banh mi was hot and served on a perfectly toasted mini baguette. It wasn't too spicy and didn't have overwhelming amounts of cilantro (as a filler for some places). I also got the fresh spring rolls with the peanut sauce. All of it was only $8 if I remember correctly - great prices all around. They steal the show from Convoy and are a great option before heading to boba or coffee. One small gripe was the noise that the employee was making when she was "drying" the chopsticks. She sat in the customer area vigorously rolling the chopsticks in a towel. I wish I had taken pictures, but the food was great (for leftovers too)!

Good spot for delicious vietnamese food. Entered near nine, it wasn't busy. I've had nothing but enjoyable experiences here and plan to keep visiting. Prices that won't shock you.

Fairly good Chicken Pho. We also tried their banh canh, which not many restaurant offers around San Diego. Service are friendly and fast. Their desserts are also not too bad. It's a little more on the expensive side for the portion they offered.

Friendly stag and flexible with making items off the menu. Very kids friendly. Someone wanted a Mocha frappe without any coffee. They did it just because a customer wanted it. And charged a bit less. Looks like the target age group is teens. Older people would just keel over from the sugar overload.

Authentic Vietnamese fare, served fast. Friendly, helpful staff. Great prices.
